Wir haben eine ruhige Lage an der schottischen Grenze, eine Stunde Fahrt entfernt von der Fähre in Newcastle Upon Tyne. Es ist ein guter Ausgangspunkt, um das Umland zu erkunden. Kelso
(zwei Meilen entfernt) ist ein hübscher Marktflecken mit gepflasterten
Straßen und einer Vielzahl von Geschäften und Orten um zu essen.
Vor
Ort haben wir eine Pferderennbahn und ein Messegelände, welches
jeden Monat Ereignisse bietet, wie zB Motorrad-Festivals, Floors Castle, Abbotsford (Heimat von Sir Walter Scott)
und den Roxburghe Championship Golfplatz. Wir haben auch einen Eislaufplatz der im Winter geöffnet ist.
In der Gegend gibt es Klöster, historische Bauten und gute Möglichkeiten zum wandern, radfahren und golfen. Edinburgh ist weniger als eine Stunde Fahrt entfernt. Die
Küste ist eine halbe Stunde entfernt. Dieser Teil der Küste ist sehr beliebt bei Tauchern.

Goldilands offers Bed & Breakfast or Self Catering accommodation. Guests are welcome for short breaks or longer stays. All accommodation is on the ground floor.
We have a rual location in the Scottish Borders about an hours drive from the ferry in Newcastle upon Tyne. It is a good base to explore the Borders from our central location. Kelso (two miles away) is a pretty market town with cobbled streets and a variety of shops and places to eat.
Locally we have a racecourse and a showground which features events every month, dog shows, motorbike festivals and country shows; Floors Castle, Abbotsford (home to Sir Walter Scott) and the Roxburghe Championship Golf course. We also have an Ice Rink open in winter.
In the area we have abbeys, historic houses, walking, cycling and golf. Edinburgh is less than an hours drive away on quiet roads. Our coastline is half an hour away where visitors can see the local fishing fleet, seals in the harbour and many, many birds. This part of the coastline is very popular with divers.
